Update On Joanne

Hi Joanne - remember me from Dragons Abreast? It's been a long time since we've paddled together, but I have some wonderful memories of the period you were on the team and we used to travel to practices together and chat about our families and the challenges of paddling and getting along with all the diverse personalities on the team. Then 2 years ago I saw you on the show covering the Weekend to End Breast Cancer and phoned and we talked a bit. I was saddened that you were once again fighting this horrible, evil disease and now very saddened to hear that your dragon is winning the battle. Peace be with you - I know you are very strong and have lots of wonderful support from all these friends and family and I want you to know that I am thinking of you a lot and hoping you find peaceful waters.
