A friend of Caitlyn
My name is Cameron- I'm a friend of Joanne's niece, Caitlyn.
I just wanted to leave a message about the impact Joanne had on me when I met her at her wonderful 40th Birthday party last year. Although I met her only once, her spirit, strength, and sense of humour in light of her situation really touched me. I think about her daily and wonder if I could be as positive and courageous as she has been if I were in her position. She has truly been an inspiration to me. The highlight of the night for me was singing and dancing to YMCA with Jo and Caitlyn on the stage. She also taught me some fun dance moves that Caitlyn and I continue to use at dances with our friends. At the party, I also noticed that Joanne is surrounded by a very loving family. It is comforting to know that Jo has tremendous support from many family members and friends. I wish her and her family continued strength and comfort during this difficult time.
