Update On Joanne

For the last 48 hours, Joanne has been virtually pain free. The Methadone and Dilaudid
are doing their job in keeping the pain at bay, while the Ativan is keeping her relaxed
enough so that she moves little (which causes pain) and rests more. The Peridium she
is taking for the infection in her urinary tract is also doing the job of keeping the bladder
from spasming and providing the constant feeling of needing to pee. (we won't talk about
the colour it turns the urine - and the reaction I had when I first saw it!)

Unfortunatlely the price we have to pay for Joanne to be pain free is that she is not lucid
very often. I've been reading all of the comments from the BLOG to Joanne in the hopes
that all of your love and strength is being passed along to her. I'm sure that it is because
when she does have her moments of lucidity she is as feisty as ever!
