Fri Sept 1

Wednesday found Joanne needing an IV to replenish some liquids, Nurse Pat came in off duty at midnight to access Joanne's Port-Cath and got the IV started. That was followed by a very restless night with not a lot of sleep. Thursday was a sleepy day. The headache persisted most of the day. Early evening, Nurse Pat talked to Joanne to try and determine the kind of headache. It's hard to tell if it's because of the meds, or tension due to Joanne clinching a lot, or (as I believe) a combination of both.

Irregardless (yes, Uncle Wheels it's a word - especially when used ON PURPOSE to annoy grammatical enthusiasts - How is the dictionary, Steve?), the muscle relaxant Ativan was given to Joanne and she zonked out. She was given it again with her evening meds, and when I spoke to her this morning, she told me she slept ALL night. She dreamt, unable to remember the dreams, but dreamt nevertheless. To me, if you are dreaming, then you are in that really deep, good, (I like it better than a good steak) sleep.

Joanne says have a safe and enjoyable Labour Day Weekend everyone.
I say Blog off.
Mike

[Ed. Note: - Irregardless originated in dialectal American speech in the early 20th century. Its fairly widespread use in speech called it to the attention of usage commentators as early as 1927. The most frequently repeated remark about it is that "there is no such word." There is such a word, however. It is still used primarily in speech, although it can be found from time to time in edited prose. Its reputation has not improved over the years, and it is still a long way from general acceptance. Use regardless instead.]
