Dear Mike, Darcy, Dylan and Dean...

My name is Antonija Alilovic and my 10 year old daughter Liljana had the privlage of being in Darcy's class at St. Catherines from SK to grade 3.
I met a really nice lady at Joanne's funeral named Jennifer Little who was nice enough to tell me about this blog. I have spent the last couple of days reading all of it. Wow I didn't even realize I was crying until my shirt was wet and my computer almost short circuited form the moisture.
Honestly I didn't really know Joanne extremely well. I saw her picking up the kids in her van at school and we would say hello to one another and chat for a bit. I also would drop Liljana off at Darcy's parties. I am feeling almost envious now of all of you for knowing someone and having someone like her in your lives, if even for a short time. From everything I have read and heard about her she was quite a remarkable woman.
Mike your words in your entries are so touching and beautiful and your children are soooo very lucky to have such a wonderful father.
Your family is in our thoughts and prayers. Lily is always asking about Darcy and she has asked me to tell her hello and tell her that she hopes she has a nice time in Florida.
Mike and kids, I just wanted to on behalf of my daughter to Darcy and myself tell you how much you have all touched everyone around you. The outpouring of so many people's support on this blog, and the amount of people that came to the funeral home and the funeral is a true testiment to how well loved and respected Joanne was and what a special person she was. Your family seems so close knit and amazing.
We wish you all the very best, and we pray for you everyday.

Take care, and please send a huge hug to Darcy.

Love the Alilovic Family.
