Dear Joanne and your strong loving family and friends,
I am a member of Team 2000 Dragons Abreast dragon boat breast cancer team. We had so much fun paddling together and had a great spirit of adventure and a "we can do anything" attitude that year! I have wonderful memories of 22 hearts beating as one, laughing, singing our song and paddling our arms off!
Yesterday we paddled at Ontario Place in the Great White North event under glorious blue skies and beautiful Fall sunshine. Many of us fondly remembered you and when the time came to throw our carnations in the water, I offered a prayer of thanks for your precious life and your friendship over that special summer.
Now it is time to say good bye.
